"Listening to the City," is sponsored by the Civic Alliance to Rebuild Downtown New York, a coalition of more than 85 civic, business, environmental, community, university and labor groups all committed to creating a great urban space that revitalizes Lower Manhattan and sensitively memorializes the thousands of people who lost their lives on 9/11. The organizers are the Center for Excellence in New York City Governance at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University, Regional Plan Association, AmericaSpeaks, Pratt Institute Center for Community and Environmental Development and the Robert J. Milano Graduate School at New School University. The project is supported through generous grants from the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC), the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Atlantic Philanthropies, and other members of the corporate and foundation communities. |
